Toddlers! What a busy time when so much growth and development is happening with each child. It is especially important for toddler children to be given the opportunity to explore and learn in a safe and stimulating environment. Our staff ensures that just such an environment is provided to our toddler group.
Weekly activities are planned to meet the interests and developmental needs of the children and to encourage exploration, learning and independence. Developing social and self-help skills are huge focuses for toddlers. As the children grow in this age group the staff guide and support children to learn eating, dressing, toileting and social skills and provide numerous activities to develop language and literacy skills for the toddlers each and every day.
Of course we provide all the essentials of the day as well. A hot lunch and two snacks are provided each day and every child has his own cot for their daily sleep/rest time. Additionally, two daily outdoor play times, on our toddler playground, ensure lots of fresh air and sunshine needed for our little sprouts to grow and thrive and build those big muscle groups.
Communication with parents continues to be essential. A daily report is available to you each day when you pick your child up. Of course, our staff are also available to discuss your child’s day as well.
